Take therefore no though for the morrow for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
“Living By Faith” is a song of the trust of the saint. Christ is the ruler of all. He is Lord of tomorrow whether it brings sunshine or rain. What a precious hope to cling to, that regardless of the outcome, we can trust in our Saviour. We are reminded that he will carry us through the difficulties, and we need only keep our eyes on him through the storm to find the peace that only he can give, and one day he will carry us where no troubles can reach us.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary and they shall walk, and not faint.
“Living By Faith”
I care not today what the morrow may bring,
If shadow or sunshine or rain,
The Lord I know ruleth o’er everything,
And all of my worry is vain.
Living by faith, in Jesus above,
Trusting confiding in his great love;
From all harm safe in his sheltering arm,
I’m living by faith and feel no alarm.
Though tempests may blow and the storm-clouds arise,
Obscuring the brightness of life,
I’m never alarmed at the overcast skies,
The Master looks on at the strife.
I know that he safely will carry me through,
No matter what evils betide,
Why should I then care, though the tempest may blow,
If Jesus walks close to my side.
Our Lord will return to this earth some sweet day,
Our troubles will then all be o’er,
The Master so gently will lead us away,
Beyond that blest heavenly shore.
Melody Publications is an organization focused on reawakening the melody of truth in the hearts and minds of believers at home and abroad. Our prayer is that our work would aid churches and families as they sing “Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs” in praise and in worship to our God.
